Cannabis Use Disorder (CUD)

We have a research study available for adults with Cannabis Use Disorder (CUD). The purpose of this study is to understand whether an investigational medication can mitigate withdrawal symptoms associated with discontinuing cannabis use.

The investigational medication will be provided at no cost and compensation is provided for time and travel. No health insurance is required to participate in any of our CUD studies.
What is Cannabis use disorder (CUD)?
Cannabis use disorder is a condition where a person continues to use cannabis, despite it leading to serious problems in their life. People with cannabis use disorder may put cannabis before important responsibilities, relationships, and their health.

Common Symptoms Of CUD:​

Craving cannabis
-
Difficulty controlling or cutting down cannabis use

Giving up or reducing other activities in favor of cannabis use

Problems at work, school, and home as a result of cannabis use

Spending a lot of time on cannabis use

Taking more cannabis than was intended

Tolerance to cannabis

Withdrawal symptoms when discontinuing cannabis

Adult Cannabis use disorder Clinical Trial
If you answer YES to all of the following questions then you may qualify for our CUD clinical trial.
1. Are you between the ages of 18-55 years old?

2. Are you a heavy/frequent cannabis user?
​
​
3. Are you willing to take study medication?
​
​
​
Final eligibility is determined during a screening visit at our study site at Orange. During this visit, you will:

Meet with a professional physician, psychiatrist, and/or psychologist to be interviewed about your mental and physical health

Review additional information

Undergo a physical examination and have your vitals taken

If you qualify and decide to participate:

A study doctor will closely monitor you, your symptoms, and overall health
-
All study-related medical care and study medication will be provided at no cost
-
Transportation may be provided at no cost, if you need assistance
-
You will sign an Informed Consent Form (ICF) which outlines which procedures you can expect during each visit

You will be compensated for each completed visit
